Born in 1978 in Nakuru Kenya, Nyaga is a visual artist living in Nairobi who has over 15 years’ experience in various mediums and styles. He works with Pastels, Charcoal and Chalk on reverses canvas.
Steve Nyaga graduated from the Buruburu Institute of Fine Arts in Nairobi Kenya in 2003 and later worked with companies like Safaricom, Serova Stanley, East African Publishers and AMREF.
His style is as a result of years of experimenting and learning the essence of conservatism in painting. It’s minimalistic, raw and sets to restore lost techniques in finding mediums to create a final piece.
His latest work is the African Beauty Series inspired by African pop art!
