Born in kwaZulu Natal, 2000, Nokwanda Buthelezi  grew up at a rural place called Ulundi D-section. She attended her junior schooling years at Mbhasobheni  primary school  where it became evident that she would sooner than later become an artist. Her talent was early shown in the junior competitions that she attended, and that would be recurrent in the years that followed to the build up of her artistic career.

Formal education in art begun when she attended her senior schooling years at Sir Pierre van Rynveld high school where she won several awards and accolades, including the 2019 Sanlam Child Art Competition. She matriculated in 2019.During her senior years she has participated in a number of art competitions, of note, The National MathArt competition, and the SA Championships performing Art where she bagged two gold medals. Some of her work got featured in 2019 Pretoria Art Alive exhibition held in Brooklyn. She is currently enrolled at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) doing her final year in the Fine Art Department specializing in Painting and Surface Design. Recently she had joined the art scene in Johannesburg and is working on an a group exhibition with a few notable artists.
